Top Posts For July 2011

Once again, it’s amazing all the statistics that are out there for tracking blog traffic.  I had my biggest month so far!  Below is a list of my top 5 blog posts receiving traffic in July.  Four of the five were guest posts which I think is pretty cool.  If you missed them, you can click on the links below:

1.  Celebrating 15 Years!

2.  Faith Stretch by Beck Gambill

3.  Savor The Flavor by Alex Humphrey

4. God in the Spaces by Norman Stolpe

5.  Detours by Leanne Stolpe

I love the dialogue that happens through the comments.  I continue to meet new people from all over the place.  I’m looking forward to a new month in August.  As I’ve stated to many before, my blog is a place for me to process some of the things that are stretching me.  It’s nice to know that some of these thoughts may be helping others as well.

So here’s my question:  Do you blog?  What was your most followed blog post this month?  What was your favorite post this month?

I’d love to hear from you!

(If you’re interested in guest posting on my blog, please drop me a comment.  I’d love to connect with you.)

  1. Love your blog, Jon. My most popular blog post was called “Shift the Monkey” (http://bit.ly/peTuaL). In the post, I relate what I learned from Todd Whitaker (Education guru) at a national conference. I would have to say that my favorite post was called “How One Step Leads to Another” (http://bit.ly/nquEfu). In this post, I talk about setting micro-goals.

  2. Jon,

It has been great following your blog over the past few weeks. I myself just started blogging at the end of June, and Mid July I moved my blog to http//bschebs.com from a WordPress blog. I am enjoying writing when I actually do it. but sometimes the fear of putting myself out there causes me to make excuses. My most viewed post was: http://bschebs.com/trip-down-memory-lane/ A post about learnings after visiting my hometown for the first time in years.

My favrite post, http://bschebs.com/the-dog-ate-my-blog-post , is my favorite beacuse it really made me lay myself open and admit a flaw. Also in just 2 days it is tied for my most commented post.

  3. It’s wonderful to see your positive blog growing. I’m so glad to have been a part of your blog this month. The most popular post on my blog this month was called Borrowed Bed, actually it’s my second most popular of all time. http://beckfarfromhome.blogspot.com/2011/07/borrowed-bed.html I think it was so popular because I was vulnerable and authentic. It was one of the most important posts I’ve written and was very healing.

    • Beck, Thanks! Blogging has definitely been an encouraging discipline for me. Thanks again for being part of my blog community this month – especially through your guest post. I appreciate the thought provoking writing that continues to show up on your blog. I really appreciated what you had to share in your Borrowed Bed post.

  4. I blog therefore I am. The blog post that attracted the most attention this month was this one: http://pastormattblog.com/2011/07/07/the-growing-divide-between-the-religious-right-and-the-young-restless-reformed-part-3/ which addressed the growing divide between the religious right and the neo-Calvinists or what Colin Hansen named, “The Young, Restless and Reformed.” Digging the blog. Keep up the good work. Blessings,
